The Chief Information Officer has responsibility for the policy direction, strategic planning, and overall coordination of information resources and management.
Office of Academic Technology
The Office of Academic Technology (AT) provides resources, technical assistance, and equipment to assist the University of Florida faculty, staff and students. The three general divisions of AT include support for media services, instructional technology and teaching/learning.
UF Computing and Networking Services (formerly NERDC)
CNS provides large-scale computing and networking services for the University of Florida, University of North Florida, and for other state educational institutions and agencies in northern Florida. The CNS facilities are used for instructional, administrative, and research computing. Divisions of CNS include:
Network Services
Network Services manages Internet and intranet services for UF, maintaining the campus network which connects the various buildings to each other and to the world-wide Internet.
Telecommunications
Telecommunications' mission is to provide telecommunications support for faculty, staff, and students of the University in supporting education and research.
Web Administration
WebAdmin coordinates the overall university Web presence by providing consulting and outreach assistance to other university offices and departments on campus. It is also responsible for ensuring that all Web page development meets UF's Acceptable Use Policy standards in order to meet the needs of UF's critical audiences.
